Job Summary:
Under joint supervision of the Transplant Operations Manager and the Transplant Surgery Psychologists, this position will participate in planning and implementing the Solid Organ Transplant Substance Use Disorder treatment services.
Accepts inpatient and outpatient referrals for solid organ transplant patients meeting criteria for substance use disorder. Provides individual and group therapy services to patients to aid in abstinence and relapse prevention.
Coordinates with the multidisciplinary care team, including other mental health providers and the medical-surgical staff. When applicable, is also be responsible for facilitating more intensive treatment programs for patients and will coordinate this care, including monitoring their participation and completion of this treatment. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Three years of experience in providing AODA and/or Mental Health clinical services in outpatient or inpatient settings is required. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Experience working in Intensive Outpatient programs is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Master's degree in Professional Counseling, Social Work or an equivalent is required.
TRAINING PREFERRED:
Completion of formal substance use training program is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
Experience working with solid organ transplant patients is preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Current Wisconsin license as a Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required. Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (C-SAC) or Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) is preferred.
