This Military Analyst will be working with Naval Aviation planners responsible for ensuring the readiness of naval air forces around the world and deployed on America's nuclear powered aircraft carriers. Serco supports the U.S. Navy as the prime contractor for their Integrated Readiness Modeling, Technical and Professional Support Services contract. Our team conducts analysis and provides software development and lifecycle support for a portfolio of integrated applications used by the Navy to determine future fleet readiness requirements. You will be part of a 24-member team that works closely with our Navy customers to ensure that our Navy is accurately resourced to provide the required level of combat readiness.
ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. You must live in San Diego, CA and be available to commute onsite as needed. In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $ 81,153.39 - $ 131,873.27 ; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
In this role you will: - Be the Senior Flying Hour Program analyst at Commander, Naval Air Forces.
- Responsible for monitoring and communicating the training and operational execution and health of Naval Aviation and the lead manager of the Navy's Aviation Data Warehouse for both CNAP and CNAL.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: - An active Secret clearance.
- A bachelor's degree ( 4 years' additional experience substitutes for a bachelor's degree) .
- 5+ years of professional work experience that includes data analysis and data science as well as fundamental understanding and use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to tasking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Travel may be required up to 10%.
A plus for succeeding in this position would be any of the following: - Experience working within the DoD or Navy community.
- Experience developing white papers and brief sheets for senior leadership.
- The ability to work across a large organization and be engaged on multiple projects with multiple customers and varying timelines.
- Experience on a DoD staff.
- Experience/education in DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution.
- Experience/education in data analysis/science.
- Ability to support cross-functional teams at a high level on a three-star staff.
- Data and strategic communication skills (written and verbal).
- Organization skills that facilitate execution of multiple extended projects.
- Flexibility to meet reasonable emergent needs.
- Interest in continuing education to meet evolving industry needs.
