Job Description

Material Specialist The Material Specialist is responsible for accurate daily processing and issuing of parts to repair orders, as well as being a liaison with Repair Services and Customer Relations when it comes to the efficient movement of repair orders from the Material Room to other departments. The Specialist should strive for excellence and efficiency in parts management and organization. The Material Specialist will be responsible for the various research on product, accuracy of the parts distributed, parts maintenance, partnership with other departments and organization of the Material Room. What You'll Do:

• Review repair orders to accurately determine part needs within established time frames and production standards
• Accurately transact parts within JDE both systematically and physically
• Maintain inventory accuracy and raise any discrepancies to Inventory Control Team and management
• Manage individual work to ensure orders are processed within expected turn times
• Act as a liaison between the Service Center and all internal customers
• Proactively work with management with any repair service issues and/or customer escalations
• Assist management with projects, flex assignments and/or ongoing tasks to meet the needs of the business as needed
• Maintain vendor compliance as it relates to Tiffanys Social Accountability Program and regulatory requirements
• Act as an internal customer advocate by working with all departments at the TSC and obtaining information necessary for resolution of customer issues
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate accordingly with responsible parties

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong initiative and the ability to work without constant direction
• Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
• Tiffany & Co. product knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to identify and provide resolution for areas of improvement
• High ability to collaborate and build strong business relations
• Flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime as needed, including possible weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree
• Completion of Graduate Gemology degree or completion of courses
• Experience working in an operations, technical, or luxury retail environment
• Previous microscope experience
• Knowledge in AS400, MIPS, POS or Compass
• Ability to shift tasks to meet daily business needs
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

The hiring range for this position ranges from $22 - $30. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates relevant skills and experience.
