- Gain knowledge on organizational financial processes and global audit preparation
- Gain experience supporting the annual budgeting process for an international organization
- Gain experience in best practices in financial management for non-profit organizations
- Gain insight on intercompany cost-sharing agreements between organizations
DETAILS The internship is expected to begin in September 2024 with a schedule commitment of approximately . The internship will conclude on or around December 15, 2024. There is flexibility around the start and end dates, as well as the hourly breakdown per week. This internship will be compensated hourly at the rate of $17.50/hour.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL - At the direction of the Senior Finance and Accounting Manager, assist with month-end closing and other recurring quantitative calculations and financial analyses.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and credit card reconciliation
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for all financial transactions
- Prepare all financial and operational information needed to prepare for the FY24 global audit
- Assist in the review of departmental FY25 budgets in VENA, ONE's FP&A software
- Assist with consolidating and maintaining budgeting spreadsheets for the 2025 organizational budget exercise.
- Additional duties as needed by the Finance team.
WHAT YOU BRING TO ONE - Currently pursuing a Finance or Accounting academic degree or course of study/training in these fields or graduated within six (6) months of hire, with a preference on quantitative or analytical areas of study. Experience is not required as the intern will learn on the job.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities under tight deadlines while performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Interest in poverty and infectious disease alleviation, advocacy, policy, legislation and/or demonstrable interest in the causes ONE supports.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluency in English required.
TRAVEL No travel is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Hybrid workplace with the option to work in the office, or a combination of in the office and remotely as approved by your manager. Team schedules and business needs may dictate the specific days you need to be in the office.
