In this key role, you will help Recovery.com (RehabPath) build experiential and event marketing into a core strength as we seek to introduce our brand to more patients, professional referrers and providers. Community, fellowship and connection are essential parts of recovery, and we want to create, host, co-host and sponsor events that meaningfully connect us to all parties involved in delivering care and support for those seeking to start, find, maintain and strengthen their recovery.

Work location

This is a Madison-based role. To be effective in this role, it is important you work in our office in Madison on average 3 times per week.

We'll expect you to do things like these:

  • Own the portfolio of external (hosted and 3rd party) events including annual Recovery.com Customer Summit, conferences, conference hosted side events, local events, regional events, and more. 
  • Identify and develop new and innovative event experiences to scale our reach and brand exposure across both in person and virtual event programs.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets for conferences and tradeshows.
  • Identify potential event partners and form appropriate relationships, including but not limited to top industry event and conference coordinators.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including booth selection, vendor management, staff registration, and booth services.
  • Manage all booth inventory, including giveaway and marketing materials, and coordinate the packing, shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Oversee on-site activities including set-up/tear down and any booth services (i.e. AV, labor, catering etc.)
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with Recovery Media and marketing team members to extend event reach via digital content before, during and after events. 
  • Develop strategies to capture maximum pipeline opportunity for the revenue team from events. 
  • Create and manage event-related content for marketing materials, websites, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on event performance, using metrics such as engagement, lead generation, pipeline contribution, and ROI by channel to inform strategy and optimize future initiatives.
  • Ensure positive ROI on conference spend
  • Partner closely with leadership to ensure events are integrated into the overall marketing strategy.
  • Assist in organizing internal events such as company retreats, lunch-and-learn events at HQ, and others.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience with event marketing 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications and/or demonstrated experience and competence in a relevant field or role
  • Experience using virtual event platforms
  • Experience in evaluating ROI of events
  • Ability to get people to show up to events
  • Outstanding project management skills to orchestrate event logistics and coordination in both virtual as well as in-person environments

Travel Expectations

Monthly travel will be required for conferences and company events. 

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $65k - $80k , plus eligible benefits and equity options. Compensation may be adjusted based on tenure and experience.

Equity Options

In addition to your cash compensation, you will receive options to buy stock in Recovery.com ( at a set strike price. These options will vest on a four-year schedule and present an exciting opportunity to benefit from the upside of our company's growth.

Dane County Housing Stipend

We strongly value in-person work and collaboration, so for full-time employees residing in Dane County, we offer a housing stipend of $689/month in addition to your salary ($8,268/yr; half of the Fair Market Value of a 2BR apartment in Madison according to rentdata.org (

Company Bonus Program
An additional 10% of base earnings paid out quarterly when the company meets its revenue target. 

Estimated first year compensation: $73,268 - $96,268 (inclusive of Dane County Stipend and Company Bonus Program)
