WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: - Be the site EHS expert and preferred point of contact for safety and environmental related inquiries.
- Facilitate EHS program objectives by providing clear and continuous direction to the staff.
- Manage environmental processes to ensure company and regulatory requirements are met in relation to hazardous/special waste management, water discharge & air permitting obligations.
- Monitor EHS federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and risk initiatives; analyze potential impacts on system operations; provide operations and executive management information as appropriate.
- Coordinate and engage plant personnel and other personnel in the identification, development and implementation of EHS goals and trainings which will positively impact and add value to the organization.
- Manage issuance of contracts and permits as needed.
You have: - BA or BS degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environmental.
- 3+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and the ability to apply such in the manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies.
