Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Technician  who will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Prince George plant. This position will have a strong industrial electrical background who also may have an interest in Automation.

We support employee growth through continuous learning and upward job growth. Based on this individual and their performance, skills development, and the successful completion of relevant training and/or required coursework they can grow into an Automation Technician and or Engineer.

Qualifications

Candidate requirements:

• Must have at least 3-5 years  of electrical troubleshooting and commercial electrical experience
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as motors, generators, and automation systems

• Repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipment

• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures

• Experience using test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues
• Experience in Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems, Pneumatic systems, and Welding & Fabricating
• Work well in a team environment at a fast pace
• Be dependable and accountable
• Work a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts/3 to 5 days-per-week, alternating every other weekend including overtime
• Lift up to 75 pounds or more on a regular basis
• Able to reach, stoop, bend, and be physical throughout a work shift
• Work effectively in very hot and cold temperatures
• Have excellent math and verbal skills
• High School Graduate or GED preferred
