About the Role
The eDiscovery/Litigation Project Manager plays an important role in managing litigation projects for Nextpoint Law Group (NLG) and coordinating administrative functions. This is a great opportunity for a process and people oriented individual with a background in using eDiscovery at a law firm and project management or paralegal services. Someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and first-class organizational abilities who would like to gain experience and an understanding of the inner workings of a legal services firm will thrive in this role.
Working closely with Nextpoint Law Group’s lawyers, consultants, and clients, the Litigation Project Manager and Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for seeking out opportunities to improve process through technology, assist with billable eDiscovery projects/tasks and manage other client related projects. The Litigation Project Manager and Administrative Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting in internal administrative tasks (e.g. conflicts checks, checking dockets, scheduling, coordinating client projects). The ideal candidate will be able to manage billable and administrative tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ yrs experience in a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Litigation Support, Project Manager or similar role in the legal industry
- Experience and familiarity with eDiscovery technology and services
- A strong interest in learning new technology and an ability to engage technically while also bringing commercial acumen and client-facing confidence
- Experience with web-based project management (Microsoft/Zendesk), time keeping software (Clio), and project budget tracking, preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
- Experience dealing with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders under high pressure situations with the confidence having 'hard to have' conversations
- Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and detailed execution skills
- Ability to problem solve and think analytically in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as unique client projects/needs arise; available by phone or email when out of the office as needed
- Willing to work a hybrid (four days in office) schedule
- Ability to travel to Nextpoint offices as needed
- Bachelor's degree required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
Responsibilities
- Working with documents in an eDiscovery database, including organizing, searching, importing, and producing
- Communication and coordination with clients, internal stakeholders and vendors
- Creating, tracking and managing project tasks and timelines
- Serving as an internal stakeholder for client projects and coordinate deliverables across the organization
- Educate clients on the capabilities of Nextpoint software and service offerings
- Establish lasting relationships with clients
- Proactively identifying additional tasks/projects for client
- Evaluating and identifying new processes to ensure efficient functioning of the firm
- Administrative functions of the firm including running conflict checks, creating matters, and monitoring case dockets
