Job Description

The Billing and Student Account Analyst maintains and reconciles the student accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments for student and preschool accounts.  Leads the preschool billing process and works closely with the preschool directors. Analyzes accounts receivable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Generates reports to bring insight into collections, account ages, and other relevant metrics and relays conclusions to management. Utilizes AR data to identify trends, inefficiencies, delinquent accounts, and opportunities for improvements to accounts receivable policies and procedures. Investigates and resolves discrepancies in billings and collections as well as troubleshoots family questions. Resolve families Blackbaud Tuition Management access issues. May be responsible for ad hoc customer billing and responding to customer inquiries regarding bills.

Working Conditions

• Physical Demands: Able to sit, stand and lift up to 30 lbs for eight hours per day, including the need to walk up hills and stairs frequently.
• Billing and Student Account Analyst work is highly independent.

Educational/License Qualification

• Bachelor's degree required
• A specialist on complex technical and business matters relating to Blackbaud Tuition Management
• This position requires 4+ years of combined experience in Accounts receivable, customer service, and billing
• Knowledge of Blackbaud preferred
• Previous experience in admission or auxiliary programs preferred
• Fluent in the use of Google and Microsoft Office products, general ease with technology.
• Previous experience in database management 
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent analytical, communication and social skills
• Commitment to customer service
• Requires a strong attention to detail
• Team player with a strong capacity for initiative
