Working Conditions

• This position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with CAL FIRE’s telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

• This position is headquartered in McClellan, CA.

Staff Services Manager II – Aviation Management Unit (SOQ)

1. Describe your knowledge and experience in budget management and accounting.

2. Describe your methods of coaching and mentoring, and how you create an environment that fosters learning, ensures high performance, and promotes employee retention.

3. Describe how you plan to earn the trust of the Department’s executive and management teams and how you will present sound and strategic solutions to address sensitive and complex issues.

4. How would you ensure that you stay informed of recurring program changes that result in increased responsibility, and once you identify these issues, how do you plan to develop and implement solutions that improve efficiency and meet the Department’s demands?
